Midglas had a lot of backlogged administrative work. As a result, the organization lost track of its customers, and the ERP system it was working in became very slow. Yarado managed to fix all these problems, and cleaned up the data in 2.5 days.

For insurance companies, it is critical that customer data be accurate. After all, this information is needed to produce accurate reports, as well as to meet compliance regulations applicable in the industry. That's why Midglas engaged Yarado, which cleaned up much of its backlog of records in ANVA, an ERP system used in the insurance industry.

Because of the large amount of client data, some of which was more than 20 years old, Midglas no longer had an overview in ANVA. Irrelevant data from 17,000 accounts prevented the company from extracting reliable insights from its dataset. In fact, the outdated data obscured the relevant information. This outdated information also caused slow systems, which in turn was frustrating for staff.

So in several areas, Yarado was able to help Midglas out. First of all, with RPA software, Yarado was able to totally update the ERP system. Now the insurance company only uses neat, high-quality data. That in turn allows useful information to be extracted from the files for the company, and further means that employees no longer get frustrated when they have to use administrative systems.

Midglas does it by hand

Before Midglas partnered with Yarado, every customer entered was checked by hand. That meant they had to perform months of tedious, labor-intensive work, while making mistakes in the process.

The process consisted of five steps. First, the file of the customer in question had to be selected, after which it was checked whether the balance of the account was positive. In other words, there was the possibility that there were still accounts among them for which an invoice was outstanding from Midglas. Next, twenty data points had to be read out per account. Then information about the account had to be searched and the account set to inactive if it was out of date.

So now all this no longer needs to be done by hand, which brings the aforementioned benefits. Yarado also regularly maintains the system and ensures that the quality of the data remains good. Using advanced Optical Character Recognition and computer vision capabilities, Yarado was able to pick out the right files without missing a single one.
