Before CROP automated its processes, it required tax advisors to check tax refunds manually. This took hours, and caused a lot of frustration for staff, while also reflected in the quality of work. Time after time, tax preparers had to log into the system to see what refund needed to be done for an account. After finding the account, some inputs had to be given, such as a BSN number and the year of return, and the correct template had to be chosen for the task. Based on the choice, the system generated a PDF, which had to be opened and saved. The advisor had to send the agreement and return in email format.
